Farmers Markets

Farmers Markets in Mystic are a fun place to go and also have fantastic produce, fish, cheese, baked goods and all kinds of other products, sometimes including local jewelry and crafts. The markets closest to our home are The Stonington Year Round Farmers Market, which is by the fishing docks in the summer and at the Velvet Mill in the winter, Saturdays, from 9-12, The Denison Farmers Market, Sundays, from June-October, 12-3, The Mystic Farmers Market runs from May- October, Tuesdays, 2-6 on 50 Old Stonington Road and the Noank Market on Fridays, 4-7 at the corner of Main and Mosher Avenue. The Stonington and Denison Markets are bigger and have fiddlers and lots of action. The Mystic and Noank are stands set up with lots of good produce, flowers, baked goods and home canned goods. All are of excellent quality. If you want to go on a day trip to a huge Farmer's Market the Coventry Farmers Market at Hale Homestead is the one for you. I think it is about an hour and a half away, but a fun excursion if you want to venture out to see the farmlands of Connecticut.

Google all of the to get more info as there are probably many more I do not know about.
